A 2018 redesign of the rainbow pride flag by Daniel Quasar (xe/xyr) that overlays a five-color hoist-side chevron onto the traditional six-stripe rainbow field. The chevron's black and brown stripes represent marginalized LGBTQ communities of color and, in some readings, people living with or lost to HIV/AIDS, while its light blue, pink, and white stripes are drawn from the transgender pride flag. The arrow shape points toward the fly end of the flag to signify forward movement and the ongoing need for progress. [PRG-S1]
