Bisexual Ally Flag
Ally Pride Flag ·
The straight ally flag's black and white field charged with a large letter A carrying the bisexual flag's magenta, purple and blue. The Tumblr account ally-flag-compendium posted it on 13 December 2020, one of a run of ally flags it made that month, and said nothing about the colours or about reuse. [1] The design's values are sampled from that post rather than published. [1]

Attribution notes
Made by the Tumblr account ally-flag-compendium, which posted a run of ally flags in December 2020 and April 2021. The account's own post carries the design, the title "My Bisexual Ally flag!" and eight tags, and says nothing about the colours or about reuse. [1] The LGBTQIA+ Wiki, which catalogues the run, footnotes this flag to that post. [2]

Dates & Chronology
- Year Created
- First located publication
- Creation Bounds
- ally-flag-compendium published the flag on Tumblr on 13 December 2020, in a post that claims it in the first person. [1] That fixes the date by which the design existed and the date it was first published; when it was drawn is not separately documented, and the post date is not assumed to be the moment the artwork was finished.
Lineage
- Direct predecessors
- Straight Ally Pride Flag, Bisexual Pride Flag
Two constituent visual sources, both visible in the artwork: the Straight Ally Pride Flag supplies the black and white field and the A device, and the Bisexual Pride Flag supplies the palette filling that device. Neither original designer is documented as having worked with ally-flag-compendium, and no creator statement names either as a source; the relationship is what the design shows. [1]

This flag has no official digital palette. Color values shown are approximate.
No creator-authored symbolism key has been located. The post presents the design without assigning meanings to its colours. The black-and-white field and A are visually inherited from the Straight Ally Pride Flag and the bisexual palette from the Bisexual Pride Flag; inheriting a palette is not the same as restating its meanings, and none are attributed to ally-flag-compendium here. [1]
Dominant values measured from the creator-posted file, which is a JPEG carrying 14,190 distinct values, so the three bisexual colours are artifact measurements subject to compression rather than exact specifications. ally-flag-compendium published no hex values. They are darker than Michael Page's later-standardised digital bisexual values, and are not replaced with them: whether the difference comes from the rendering, the compression or both is not determinable from the file alone. Black and white are listed by element because they occur in both the Straight Ally field and the A device. [1]
