An earlier furry pride flag concept is often said to have been posted to Reddit by u/AtomicFurry76 in March 2019. No source for it has been located, and this entry carries it as an unverified report rather than as a fact.

The flag does not derive its stripe pattern from any prior pride flag. The rainbow circle element draws on the broader LGBTQIA+ rainbow tradition but adapts it into a ring-of-unity motif rather than stripes.

Every element is explained by the creator. The blue band is "our community's future and our hope to be more inclusive and accepting of our fellow LGBTQIA+ peers", the white band "all of our trans community members", the brown band "our POC community members". [1] The whole palette is pastel: the ring is a softened spectrum rather than a saturated one, and the paw print is #3F3F3F, a dark grey, where the flag is usually described as carrying a black paw.

Three horizontal bands, blue over white over brown, and they are not equal: measured down the fly the blue takes 37.8 per cent of the height and the brown 36.5, while the white between them takes 20.7, a little over half the depth of either. A rainbow ring sits centred on the flag, enclosing a white field with a dark grey paw print. [1]
The ring is not a single sweep of spectrum around the circle. It is mirrored about the horizontal axis: red at the hoist side, running through orange, yellow, green and blue in both directions, to meet at violet on the fly side. Sampling the ring every 15 degrees returns the same sequence going clockwise and anticlockwise from the red. [1]

- Several furry pride flag designs circulate and none has been ratified by anything: the fandom has no central authority. The FursonaPins design is the one in general use, which its unconditional release helped along.
The furry fandom is a subculture centered on interest in anthropomorphic animal characters. The fandom has a large LGBTQIA+ membership, and furry pride flags represent the intersection of fandom identity and Queer identity.
