This was not the first flag associated with gyneromantic identity. In July 2014 the Pride Archive blog circulated the pink, brown and green Gynesexual artwork for both "Gynosexual and Gynoromantic Pride," six years before this design existed. [2] The 2020 five-stripe design is not visually derived from that 2014 artwork; "romantic counterpart" describes the relationship between the identity labels, not a design lineage between the two artworks.
