The structure is the white-red-white flag of Belarus, used as the state flag from 1991 to 1995 and since carried by the opposition; this variant recolors the central band into eight segments. The palette — red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple with black and brown — is the extended pride palette, so the rainbow flag is recorded as an influence rather than a parent: the design does not carry the six-stripe rainbow itself.
