The Tumblr user lvxlvn, also signing as @j9grd, posted the flags in 2022 with a disclaimer, "i am not the first person to have created this label, but this is my design for the flag", defining the audience as "people who are both of indigenous-american descent and identify with the term 'queer'" [1]. The white cedar variant carries the designer's own reason: "i chose the white cedar to represent us because of its importance to many of our cultures, meaning dreams, prayers, etc…" [1] A reader's question, whether Indigenous Canadians are included in "indigenous-americans", stands unanswered in the surviving copy [1]. This is one of the early documented Indigiqueer flag families, following cedar-maw's 2021 Indigiqueer / Two-Spirit design, and it is the one the LGBTQIA+ Wiki now shows. The two copies that survive are both archive blogs preserving the artwork, radiomogai and indigarchive, and an archive preserving a design is not a user of it. lvxlvn asked for uptake in the post, "rb or like to lmk you've joined me in using this flag! :D", and no response to that has been documented. The reblog chain reports 193 notes, 138 likes and 52 reblogs, but both copies report identical figures, which indicates a tree-wide aggregate rather than counts belonging to either post. [1]
