Video Recipe 2 - How to create a video about the first month of winter.
INGREDIENTS - All values must be exact.
Find in the wild:
1 video of an act of labor, 45 seconds
2 videos (taken unobserved) of someone alone, 30 seconds each
1 video of a cloud, 20 seconds
1 video of yourself doing something in the bathroom, 30 seconds
The beginning of an experience and the end, 30 seconds each
Write:
approx. 100 words on the beginning of winter
Hum:
a minute-long melody
PROCESS
Record each video and crop to specified length.
After each clip has been recorded, then write and record the narration.
Record the humming melody.
Order the clips as they appear above in a video composition.
Insert the recorded narration starting at the beginning. Insert the humming one minute before the end.
Deliver by the end of the month.

Video Recipe 3 - How to create a video about personal alchemy.
INGREDIENTS - All values must be exact.
Find in the wild:
1 video of you grooming yourself, 30 seconds
2 videos of fire, 8 seconds
1 video of a transformation, as long as it takes to occur in its entirety
2 videos of water, 8 seconds
1 video of magic, 30 seconds
Write:
approx. 50 words on being yourself (as YOU, an individual, not the concept)
approx. 100 words of narrative about living in a blue puff of smoke
approx. 25 words on the meaning of alchemy
10 alphanumeric characters
1 word that feels personal to you
PROCESS
Record each video and crop to specified length.
After each clip has been recorded, then write and record the narration. Chant the 10 characters at the end, then the word you chose three times.
Order the clips as they appear above in a video composition.
Insert the recorded narration starting at the beginning.
Deliver to me by the end of the month.
