Quoiromantic Pride Flag (2015, Cor / epochryphal)
A non-rectangular pride flag for quoiromantic identity, designed by Tumblr user Cor (also known by the handle epochryphal) and posted on September 21, 2015. The flag was proposed as a single shared symbol for quoiromantic, quoisexual, and quoigender identities at once. It is a cool grey house-shape silhouette overlaid with four lavender question marks rotated in a ring around a single shared center dot. The non-rectangular shape is a deliberate departure from the standard striped pride-flag format, in keeping with an identity defined by stepping outside the romantic-orientation framework. The term wtfromantic was coined as a half-joke by WordPress blogger Sciatrix in 2011 in a post titled 'Writhing in the Throes of Unrequited Like.' The more pronounceable French-rooted alternative quoiromantic was proposed by Cor in December 2012, three years before the flag itself.
